At every gathering, members of the team lead the congregation in a worship experience. More than just singing and musicianship, the music of Gateway City is an expression of love for the Father and receiving the Father’s love in return. It’s passionate. It’s physical. It’s reverent. It’s joyous. Singing invites the participant to experience God in a tangible way.
Seasons Chorale
Gateway City's Choir ministry prepares choral selections and musicals for performance during the holiday seasons, as well as special events. Having a heart of worship is more important than a great singing voice. It’s an uplifting experience to hear these voices as well as to be a part of the choir. Special platform choreography is used to enhance the music, and gives the listener the genuine sense that God is present and touching lives today.
Behind The Veil
Vision/Focus: As a dance ministry our focus is to enter into intimate places with the Lord, to romance Him, to minister to Him through Praise & Worship in the dance. To interpret the Word of God through movement either spontaneously as the Holy Spirit Leads or through choreographed dance (which is also led by the Holy Spirit through prayer). In the prophetic dance, in celebration or in warfare. To bring a visual effect of what the Lord is revealing to the singers & the musicians through song. Interpreting with hand & foot movement, using banners, streamers and/or other praise instruments as the Lord leads. Whether it is to the song of the Lord or a selected song by the Music Minister. The Dance Ministry also help lead the congregation into worship along with the Worship Team. To be ready to express, through movement, what the Lord is saying to the church. Requirements: A personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. A member of Gateway City Church. A Heart that longs to worship the Lord in Spirit & in Truth. Passion for Him & to be in His presence. Listening to what the Lord is saying through the songs (e.g. What does He want to show the congregation? Does He want us to war in the spirit? Does He want to tear down strongholds? Or maybe a singer or musician has been given a song from the Lord, what is the Lord showing you during this song? Perhaps He just wants us to love on Him.). And last but not least Commitment to the call to dance for the Lord.
As a member of this team you are a piece of the puzzle that brings this team together. Do not underestimate why you were called to be a part of this ministry. The Lord has given each one of us a special gift to use together as we develop & learn how to flow together in one accord. Watching each other is also a key, the Lord may be speaking something to a team member pertaining to the song that is being sung. We must look to each other to see if we should be moving in unison with hand & foot movement or with our praise instruments. I encourage you to continue to bring new ideas, creativity and expression to all the Lord is showing you. All that we do is an offering to our Savior & an expression of our deep love & affection for Him.
